Her groundbreaking research explored how the body’s chemicals aid digestion and revealed the link between high cholesterol and clogged arteries, advancing our understanding of heart health and nutrition. She championed efforts to recruit, train and support students from diverse backgrounds, including establishing a scholarship fund to foster their success in science.
